PANYING WANG
To me, design is not just a way to express ideas but a way to deconstruct the world, challenge assumptions, and reshape how people and things connect. It shouldn’t be limited to a specific style or function—it should cross disciplines, media, and borders, engaging deeply with reality. I can’t accept living a life that never changes. I’m drawn to transformation and the unknown. I hope to be a creative traveler, finding inspiration in different cultures and environments, constantly redefining my place in the world. I want to explore how design can go beyond commercial use and become a bridge between people and the world.
I want my work to do more than just communicate. I want it to spark thoughts, challenge boundaries, and make design a catalyst for reflection. Design is more than just a profession—it’s a way of life and my way of engaging with the world.
My practice involves illustration, graphic design, and handcrafted art, and I excel at using different media to construct cultural narratives. I focus on visual research, brand communication, illustration, and visual storytelling, exploring how visual language shapes narratives, conveys information, and provokes thought in different social contexts. I am suited for positions that combine travel, cultural observation, and interdisciplinary research, using creative work to make that design is not limited to commercial visual communication but also delves into social and cultural issues.
I look forward to a work model with a high degree of freedom, where research and creation are combined to explore visual expression in different cultural contexts. My ideal roles include exhibition designer, illustrator, and visual storytelling designer, or working as a freelance artist, collaborating with cultural institutions, museums, and publishing houses to create works with strong cultural narratives.
I am adept at working in different cultural environments, using travel, observation, and research to explore the boundaries of visual language. Understand the role of design in various social contexts and draw inspiration from it. I have experience in cross-border collaboration and on-site research and hope that my future work will provide opportunities for international cooperation, allowing me to maintain creative independence while broadening my perspective.
