Escaping Fixed Memories

Dec 2024

Memories may seem vivid and eternal, but they quietly shift and change-shaped by our emotions, perspectives, and even the subtle interplay of light. Through a series of videos, I explore how memories are not fixed but fluid. In one, I reflect on how the same moment can evoke entirely different memories depending on emotional states: for me, it was a dark and frightening night, while for my friend, it was warm and peaceful. Through experiments with light, color, and emotion, I explore the fluid and layered nature of memory-never fixed, but deeply personal and constantly evolving.
Here, "escape" is a reimagining of memory. It allows memories to break free from their fixed forms, uncovering hidden aspects and offering us a chance to reinterpret the past. Familiar fragments are transformed, revealing their complexity and beauty in a whole new light.
