UNSPOKEN DOCTOR

June 2025

Doctors have always been a group that feels both familiar and unfamiliar to me. They stand on the front line of life, yet are expected to be people without emotions. In the hospital, the dense workload and the weight of responsibility keep pressing on their minds, forcing many emotions to sink beneath the surface. I grew up in the hospital where my mother worked, seeing the exhaustion of doctors and the anxiety of patients. When I returned to the same space again as a patient, I finally realized how a hospital can push different people into completely different emotional states. And the emotions doctors swallow are rarely seen.

This project begins here, trying to approach the emotions that are pushed down in doctors under high pressure, the ones that are not spoken, and have no place to be expressed.
